Religions for Peace USA Immigration Reform Webinar on May 24th
The Senate Judiciary Committee has passed the sprawling 900 page immigration reform bill, with its bipartisan vote, it becomes all the more important to know what immigration reform can mean for our communities across the nation. Because of the great impact immigration reform has on our society, Religions for Peace USA offered an Immigration Reform Webinar on May 24th to give a clear picture of the current situations for the “DREAMers” (individuals who meet the general requirements of the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act) and the role people of faith can play. Please check out a brief video clip from the webinar.
Featuring Jenifer Smyers of Church World Service, this webinar is the first in a series of webinars bringing together religious leaders and actors to educate and advocate on urgent current events impacting our communities.
